One of the worst parts of losing someone you love is that every once in a while, once the grief has stopped being so constant and overwhelming, you have genuinely good moments where you're happy and content. Things feel relatively normal for a while.

I commend Mark Watney on his restraint because if I were stranded on Mars and I knew there were cameras all around I'd start out pretending I had my own wildly popular livestream and probably very quickly descend into cam shows.
