GenX (a rare breed), childless cat 🐈 mom and loving it, night owl 🦉, and life long learner 📙. Caring despite the fact that some things don’t affect me. I muse. Sometimes amuse.

Ahead of Germany’s election, with anti-immigrant sentiment rising, they released viral videos showing life without immigrants.

History proves that when a country starts erasing certain people, it doesn’t end well.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Avg S&P 500 tenure:

In 1957 - 61 years

In 1980 - 36 years

Today - 20 years

Every 5 years there are 3-4 new companies in the top 10

How many stocks in the top 10 of the S&P 500 will be there in 10 years?

Considering that one of the major steps to autocracy in the US is controlling the Supreme Court, shouldn’t the priority for democrats be to pack the court and/institute term/age limits for justices?
