“we’re all gonna get it” is every bit as defeatist and doomerist as “we can’t do anything about climate change”. why do so many who are so fervent about protecting the environment refuse to acknowledge this? is our collective health not equally important?
“Well everyone else was doing it too” is never a worthy excuse. Just because practically no one masks or keeps up with the alarming science on COVID doesn’t exempt everyone from responsibility.

#MaskUp and protect yourself and others. In the future, you’ll be glad you did.

“Back in 2020, many voices on cable news and in the media openly called for the mass infection of an unvaccinated population, including children, with a brand new SARS virus. Knowing very little about this new virus, they proclaimed that there was nothing more to understand.” #COVID

According to my local food bank, $1 = 2 meals.

So a donation of $25 is 50 meals.

A little can go a long way and you *can* make a difference.

Just a reminder that even if/when SNAP benefits start flowing again, the crisis for food banks will not be over. They'll still have low inventory and many SNAP recipients will also be stocking up on items. And then you add on the typical holiday rush. The need will continue to be great.

Because when eradication is not possible, elimination is. We’ve been so relentlessly stupid when accepting the Live With modo. Measles can be eliminated, with vaccination, we did it. Airborne diseases, flu, Covid… can be eliminated w/ indoor air safety and respiratory masks. We still have to decide.
Is Canada losing the battle against #measles? Country could soon lose elimination status. Q+A w/ @msmacrophage.bsky.social www.cbc.ca/listen/live-... via @cbcnews.ca #vaccination

PSA: Covid cases can be infectious for over a week. A friend with Covid is still testing highly positive on rapid tests after 8 days.

If your rapid test is positive you are still infectious. Stay home, mask up, ventilate indoor spaces so you don’t spread it to others.
