This is not a life. It’s algorithmic self fulfilling prophecies and radicalization. Horrid.

Jesus was a political radical who attacked the financial system when he found it too cozy with religion and hung out with the people society despised.
This isn’t even a deep reading of the Bible. This is purely textual. There’s Andrew Lloyd Webber songs about it!

I have no position on what should happen to TikTok, but the Senator should be more concerned IMO with the way this is going down, with Trump promising to ignore the law, and instead personally broker a deal, and TikTok praising him publicly for it. Explain why this is all kosher please.
I’m glad TikTok is coming back online. We need to keep it that way. The platform is too important to the lives of 170 million creators.

On the one hand, I don’t think there’s a great reason to ban TikTok.
On the other hand, this whole thing seems to be making a lot of people sympathetic to the Chinese government which is … not … great.

My favorite part of Zuckerberg's Joe Rogan interview is when he suggests there is not enough masculine energy at his company, where two out of every three employees is a man.

Meta and McDonald’s never cared about DEI.
They don’t care about “free speech” now.
They care about the way they can maximize shareholder value.
That’s it. That’s what corporations do.

It’s okay to actually believe the things you’re doing. I say this as someone who isn’t leaving Meta. But do I believe some people are doing it for principled reasons? Sure!

Nosferatu is very pretty and the acting is top notch (Hoult suffers beautifully, Macy is having so much fun, Depp is feral) and the cinematography is beautiful. Overall story and vibes just OK though. But use the opportunity to watch the 1922 flick for the first time or again.
