Yep- the bogus summer reading list from the Chicago Sun Times is real. Here I am with it from a few minutes ago.

Hey @doctorwolfula.bsky.social I'm a huge Severance fan + would love to hear any thoughts you have on the finale? "Chikhai Bardo" and "Cold Harbor" are my favorite episodes this year—hard agree that S2 was darker, weirder, and scarier but just as well-written and well-acted as S1. What'd you think?
Loving Severance Season 2 so far and the new intro for the season is so fuckin’ cool, it really sets the season up for me to be darker, scarier and weirder than the first, it really amps me up for more episodes: www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKT5...

You can put all the "no AI" clauses in your contract you want. If your book has an ebook, it's been pirated, and if it's been pirated, AI can easily get it. I'm not saying you shouldn't put those clauses in your contracts, I'm saying your publisher may have no idea your book's been fed to AI.

"Following the thing that wants to be written and really standing by the genre and the story and the vision that you have for something... Writing is actually the biggest luxury you could have."

I kept experiencing flashes of queasy recognition every time I saw Robby Benson as Dr. Mauer — he's older now, but he's masterful at playing an iconic Beast, made more sinister by his determination to trap his "Belle" in this dark fairy tale's testing floor. Creepy, pitch-perfect casting #severance

One time I heard an interview with the front man of Imagine Dragons talking about a song he wrote when he and his wife nearly split up and then decided to make it work. It was a really touching, heartfelt story. Then at the end they played the song and it’s just the worst shit you’ve ever heard.

I know exactly the quality-level I'm buying into, but I'm still looking forward to seeing this during its three-day run next week. From my early childhood on, Peter Pan media always held a treasured place 🧚‍♀️

@doctorwolfula.bsky.social Will you be seeing this and possibly covering it for the channel?

Me, before starting writing: "This will be a novella."
Me, while writing: "Wait, is this maybe a short story? Oh, no, it's probably a novel. Or a novella maybe. Oh, it's a short story. No, ok, definitely a novel...la?"
Me, after finishing writing: "I knew it! It was a novella!"

"Can you believe this? It's Christmas Eve and we got orders to bring in Santa Claus! Hey Miller, what do you think Captain would do if we brought in the real one?"

"He's never satisfied! He sent us back out to pick up the Easter Bunny."

"Or Peter Pan, maybe."

I watched this with my boyfriend on Thanksgiving Day — super fun, weirdo slasher where we both counted the number of times Terry says "That ain't cranberry sauce" until we exploded laughing. Unfortunately we saw the free, heavily-edited version on YouTube. Is it streaming/physical media anywhere?
Happy Thanksgiving Weekend! I have a new video up today reviewing Blood Rage, a Thanksgiving cult classic about an evil twin who goes on a killing spree at his apartment complex while his wacko mom eats Thanksgiving leftovers! Click here to watch: youtu.be/vAaFLnAQxXM
