It should be acknowledged:

The British UK media - BIG press - have been nowhere on this throughout. Small independent new providers pushed all the way for years:

Thank you to all of you who worked on this.
Key points: Met police say investigation into other politicians is ongoing. Gill sought to recruit multiple MEPs including 4 British ones.

The judge gave strongest possible quotes about the gravity of the crime and the damage done to public trust.

Robbie Gibb was appointed to the BBC Board by Boris Johnson, was an editorial advisor for GB News, and worked as Theresa May's Director of Comms.

He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

Perhaps we will now see the end of the Farage show on our TV s 🤔
A big win for people more outraged by a silly edit at the BBC than by a man impeached by Congress for literally inciting an insurrection being back in the White House. Pathetic.
🔴 Breaking I Davie faced mounting criticism that a Panorama documentary misled viewers by editing a speech by Donald Trump

So uneven teeth and having been tricked by the Sun into a hypnotism stunt outweigh all the good reasons for supporting this guy? I don’t think so!!

Peter Kyle has met extensively with big tech firms — raising concerns about corporate influence on policy.

With Labour’s NHS plans heavily reliant on tech, the stakes are high.

Should MPs really be this close to corporate giants?

One problem of political parties spending so much time mired in, studying and unpacking voters who are moving far right, is that they mistakenly see those beliefs as representative of the whole country’s. They begin to skew towards them. And in doing so, legitimize and lead others that way too

Privatisation broke our water system.

@labourslewis.bsky.social has a people-first, evidence-based alternative, and I’m backing it.

Over at Reform-run Kent council, the meeting calendar is still showing a lot of cancelled or postponed events; Reform councillor Daniel Taylor has lost the whip following an incident "now with the police"; and the leader, Linden Kemkaran, is reportedly on holiday this week.

This applies to every city; parking should not be free: "Sometimes weighing the greater public good isn’t complicated. Removing subsidized street parking to speed up the trip for tens of thousands of bus riders is so self-evidently logical it shouldn’t require debate."
How to end the free ride of street parkers
Car owners should pay full freight for their use of city streets, or cede the space to public transit

How many signs of democratic collapse do we need?

A push to impeach judges not for misconduct but defying Trump? Refusal to honor a court order to turn around planes? Trump invoking the Alien Enemies Act outside wartime? A budget clearing him to ignore Congress? Jailing students?

The list goes on.
