This man and a small group of capitol police officers singlehandedly saved our democracy four years ago.

In November, 77 million Americans said "to hell with them" and voted for the insurrectionists.

Your "Back the Blue" flags are a pathetic disgrace and your patriotism is bullsh*t.

FUN FACT: In ancient Babylon, "commonfolk" were not permitted to eat walnuts, because they looked like brains, and wealthy leaders were concerned the people might get smart.

Keeping common people ignorant has been a goal of the wealthy since early civilization. Being led by an ignoramus is newer.

This is a great article that gets at another reason why blue cities have such terrible homelessness issues. Housed relatives and friends do not have the space to lend to displaced friends and family like they would in cheaper markets, making people homeless.

A great piece by @radiofreetom.bsky.social:

“The early-20th-century Peruvian strongman Óscar R. Benavides once stated a simple principle that Trump now appears to be pursuing when he said: ‘For my friends, everything; for my enemies, the law.’”

I hate to repost this highly misogynist meme but I want to highlight what @ianbassin.bsky.social is saying. This is not business as usual.
In Hungary, a key Orbán tactic in dismantling their democracy was that his allies bought media outlets that were critical of the regime and turned them into loyal cheerleaders for the regime.
