Trump announced a 10% tariff on European countries that oppose his ambition of annexing Greenland.
The tariffs come into effect on February 1. If no resolution about annexation is reached on June 1, the tariffs will jump to 25%.

I truly, honestly long for the days when politics was so "boring" and "uneventful" that the newspapers dedicated front pages and news programs dedicated entire segments to things like how a guy made a bit of a mess eating a sandwich because that was LITERALLY the biggest "scandal" anyone could find.
