It occurred to me that many Americans are experiencing for the first time a feeling that Black, brown, and Indigenous people have had since forever. Fear and distrust of this government.
Not a “gotcha” statement; it’s my observation.

Staff and contractors at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau have been told they cannot "perform any work tasks," according to an internal email obtained by NPR.

The edict comes as Russell Vought takes over at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Vought has ordered work to halt at the consumer finance watchdog and is cutting off new funding.

Don’t accept a buyout.
