Just FYI, here are my personal beliefs on the use of large scale violence.
1. Violence tends to be self-replicating, and so should be avoided as much as possible.

I had a mini panic attack going in to the clinic though. It wasn’t so much fear of results today as it was retreading the same path at the same time of day as I did so much earlier in the year.
I still have a fair bit of discomfort, too, but there’s really not much they can do.

Let put on my Professor glasses here for a moment and talk about “waving the bloody shirt”.

Basically there is an innate joy in sharing experiences you love with kids. I wish our culture had a lot more ways to do that with kids you don’t birth, because all kids need lots of adults to give them lots of safe life experiences, and adults gain a lot from those exchanges too.

Sometimes I wish there was a fun kind of parenting exchange program. Like: “are you distinctly NOT FEMME and have a child who wants to do extremely femme things with someone who is enthusiastic about it?”
