England water company CEO says long-term water security is under threat.

Customers already paid, companies didn't build reservoirs, dumped sewage in rivers, neglected investment, paid dividends

Now want to charge customers again, not raising capital from shareholders.

End the scam. Nationalise.
Suffolk water boss says new reservoirs needed to address demand

No curbs on profiteering. Energy prices up 44% since 2021-22.

Thousands of people can't afford heating, rely on community ‘warm spaces’.

I don’t think a Reform govt is inevitable. And it’s up to us too, to make sure it doesn’t happen. Apathy, defeatism and tearing down our own side only emboldens Farage. We must refuse to help him. Be more strategic and defiant ourselves. He has 30% support. If the 70% can’t defeat him, shame on us.

Private equity firms preying on vets practices.

6 firms control 60% of UK practices. Same firms control pet food, insurance.

Wages down, fees up. Pet owners skipping meals to cover costs, hand pets to rescue organisations or euthanising them.

Change law. Only qualified vets to own vet practices.

Danes have it right. The US is not a reliable ally. It is using tariffs & military threats to secure dominance.

UK Govt plan to reduce child poverty is welcome but that requires reduction in parental poverty.

That can't be done without equitable distribution of income and wealth, stronger trade unions, progressive taxation, decent housing, education, healthcare, jobs and sound economy.

Who will do that?

Labour's child poverty strategy offers some welcome measures, but it won't address the factors keeping families trapped in poverty

In the 1950's the UK built nearly 500,000 Council Houses in most year's.

In the last decade they have built around 10,000 Council Houses a year (almost entirely in Scotland and London) for nearly 3x as many people.

The lack of Social Housing is because they don't build any.
