I've seen so many Palestinian fundraisers and I'm concerned that some of them are scammers exploiting the current genocide.

There's a list of fundraisers that have been vetted so you know the money is going to Palestinians.

My own opinion is that it's good to signal (through words and/or actions) the virtues that you value; that's one of the most important parts of maintaining a healthy community.

I love how Enid Blyton's books often contain a spoiled rich kid who's viewed with disdain because they have too much money even though all her characters attend boarding school.

Imagine watching disaster movies like The Day After Tomorrow or 2012 and thinking that the apocalyptic weather scenes were the “unrealistic” part.

Turns out those scenes were almost bang on.

The unrealistic part was the humans working together to overcome the problem & save the world. Sigh.

There’s no reason billionaires should stop paying into Social Security in January while the rest of us contribute all year.

It’s time to scrap the cap.

I moved around a lot as a kid, but my grandparents' home in Cymru was always there, so that feels like a childhood home to me.

This is why I'm learning Welsh, and I'd love to move to Wales in the future.

This man and a small group of capitol police officers singlehandedly saved our democracy four years ago.

In November, 77 million Americans said "to hell with them" and voted for the insurrectionists.

Your "Back the Blue" flags are a pathetic disgrace and your patriotism is bullsh*t.

I can’t stop thinking about the Canadian politician who became disabled at 60 and ended up homeless

Other politicians came together to raise over 40k in less than 48 hours … because they KNOW you can’t survive on government assistance.

So why aren’t we changing policies? 🧵/1

French discovered 15 yrs ago a small piece of electronic which CAUSES a machine to automatically break down, just after guarantee is over.

For CLIMATE CHANGE, 🇫🇷 has banned this small piece in ALL electronic home appliances, making them reparable

I don't want my fridge to have a camera or Wi-Fi. I don't want my dishwasher to be smart. I don't want my washing machine to text me.

In fact, I kinda miss knobs and dials and knowing big appliances would last 20 years and could still be repaired.

If you ever find yourself saying "No one who works 40 hours a week deserves (to go homeless, to go hungry, etc)" just deleted the "who works 40 hours a week" part.

Disabled people don't deserve to go hungry. Children don't deserve to go hungry. Seniors and the elderly do not deserve to go hungry.

A person may use a wheelchair because they cannot stand or walk at all.

A person may use a wheelchair because they cannot walk for long distances.

A person may use a wheelchair because they are recovering.

A person may use a wheelchair due to fatigue.

These reasons are all valid.

I had my asthma review. She said my inhaler technique was good and she's prescribed montelukast. Hopefully that will help.

She also said I may have sleep apnea so I'm going to have to talk to a doctor about being referred for further tests. Hopefully it's not that.

Last night I dreamed I had two pet rats. They were so sweet and it felt so real! I'd honestly love rats, but right now I don't know if I'd be able to find anyone to look after them when I go away.

Accusations of antisemitism for wearing a keffiyeh conflates cultural identity with hatred & trivializes real antisemitism. It also fuels anti-Arab/Palestinian prejudice.

Posts like this undermine efforts to combat antisemitism by diluting its seriousness & fueling confusion of its definition.

I can’t like that though I agree with your post.Tbh everything about the “British Empire” makes me feel sick to my core. I don’t understand why every country’s people, ravaged by the British, are not given English citizenship if they wish it. It’s the least that’s owed.

A new study found that the British Empire's colonialism caused approximately 165 million deaths in India from 1880 to 1920. While the British stole $45tn in just over 200 years.

This is what the empire was really like, starvation.
