Well #comicbook people, I have now officially read every single issue that the (now relatively) new #DCComics Absolute initiative has to offer (as of 03/24/25) and I gotta say that we’re off to an excellent start. The work of @kellythompson.bsky.social and Hayden Sherman on WW has to be my favorite.

I’m a massive #EvilDead fan and this was such a fun, modern installment to the franchise. A mix of the serious terror of the 2013 reboot and the quirkiness of the original films, Rise is such an incredible watch.

It has taken me way too long to finally get around to #Somna by @beckycloonan.bsky.social and @tulalotay.bsky.social, but holy shit, it is an incredible read. Such an incredible balance of intense, erotic drama mixed in heavily with the supernatural.
I absolutely recommend giving this a read.

Pretty much all GNs and Collections are printed in China, and have been for many years. US printers moved their factories over there. There are few presses left on US soil.

As more friends of mine approach me about their eagerness to delve into the medium of comics, I actively tell them: “There’s more to comics than just superheroes.”
Hell, some of my favorite comics of all-time are ‘Saga’ and ‘Preacher.’ Comics has something for everyone.

The idea that people need to be super to be interesting in comics is a purely capeshit type opinion and I swear to god comics discussion in general would be greatly improved if people took more time to read some indie comics and I’ve got some great ones to recommend

Thank God McFarlane Toys is finally dabbling in creating Multiverse figures for the #NewGods. This Orion figure is a work of art. I really hope this is the first of many. Still need that Darkseid.

Reorganizing my stuff and came across one of my favorite pieces of my collection: my CGC graded 4.0 copy of the Demon No. 1 from Jack “The King” Kirby himself. This was an issue that I purchased and sent off to get graded myself, the first time I’ve done that. Not the most significant, but a fave.
