#4c25 was incredibly fun; I got to learn from brilliant people, catch up with folx I don’t see often enough, and get to do a little sightseeing (cherry blossoms and Poe’s grave!). Dm me if we didn’t get to connect this time around—always happy to talk on Zoom or whatever!

A few days late, but the first meeting for my Intro. to Cultural Rhetorics seminar (the first grad class I’m teaching) went well! The best part? Just how quickly students were able to connect the content to their own identities and positionalities, and their openness to share that with me.

The bigger thing for me is thinking about how many people COULDN’T get away with this. I have a feeling that if he were a woman of color for example, no one would have defended it.
