McDonalds is in deep need of a vegetarian sausage and egg McMuffin option. And by McDonalds I mean me.

Just found the best low-fi channel with retro space aesthetics and its own lore. Recommended!

@amazonuk.bsky.social the Kindle version of the Complete Poems Of William Blake redirects to the Complete Poems of William Shakespeare when it's clicked on. A fix would be appreciated 🙏

Benevolently cross-posting my jokes between X and Blue Sky so that mutuals can laugh all the harder in the retelling.

Excuse me, who?

Yeah, it blew securing Time covers and late night interviews for the foreseeable. EA ideas are still very influential though and remain mostly very good, imo.
The expected altruists really looked on the cusp of glory, then Sam Bankman Fried got caught committing all those crimes and they've kinda fallen off.

Some modern blockbusters do feel a bit sexless but it beats the tackiness of some 1980s-2010s romance scenes.

Tonight's film: Troy (2005). The good: beautiful Trojan costumes; some fun fights; Sean Bean is excellent as Odysseus; Brian Cox chewd scenery as Agamemnon; the Achilles and the priestess scenes are interesting.

Rewatched the first 45mins of Gladiator and the quality gap between its writing and Gladiator II's is vast.

Read some chapters from these today in the British Library and, honestly, might have to buy the Roman Econ one.

Maybe a #HotTake, but the Prequels being political isn't the problem, the problem is that they gesture at politics while being thematically incoherent. If anything, they needed to be much MORE political.
It's funny that when people pointed at the trade embargo plot in The Phantom Menace as one reason why that movie didn't work for them, and now we're all frothing at the mouth like, "Yes! Yes! Budget overruns!"

Improvement I'd like from @bsky.app . Allow muting and blocking of accounts by clicking the [...] button on their post, without having to click through to their profile. Thank you!

Would be great if we could just import our mutes and blocks. It's very draining to work the old magic in each case to seal out the demonic forces.

Immediately blocked OJ and the Novara lot as my first act of Blue Sky governance. Cannot give communism an inch.

Adding all my muted words from X onto here like an old wizard recasting his spells of warding

Le Guin's 'The Word Of Unbinding' is such a satisfying read. Loved seeing the germ of A Wizard Of Earthsea in it.

Grateful to the prefects of Bluesky for sharing their starter packs. Much easier to find the accounts I once followed on X.
