Happy Halloween and Blessed Samhain.

May you have joy with your loved ones tonight. May you all remain safe in your adventuring.

May you remember your loved ones who have passed, and may your memories make you feel closer to them. May their presence in your heart and mind be a blessing.

Happy National Coming Out Day!

May you feel safe and loved enough to live authentically. May the world push back on the ways many are working to send us backwards. May you feel queer joy.

Me? I'm living happier and lighter, and gayer. Soooo gay. 🥰

Kindness and niceness are two different things and it's taken me too many years to know there's a difference. It's still a journey to leave niceness well enough alone.

But when I choose kindness over niceness to others, it feels powerful and better yet, meaningful.

The crows like to remind our neighbors that I am definitely the neighborhood witch. 😂😂 They will even show up within 5min of me parking my car in the driveway and answer back when I whistle.

This past weekend, the kids were with their dad, and I was out. When I got back, this was on my bed, waiting for me. I missed them sooo much. I can't wait until I'm back to work and can bring these in with me. And I can't wait until tomorrow, when I can pull them into tight Momma-hugs.

One of the examples that reminds me that I'm doing a good job as a parent:

I decided to come out to my kids when taking them to the local Pride event. I knew that they might ask about my new Pride flags

My 10yo's response?

"Neat. Now I just know another cool fact about you. That's nice. "

No one experiencing the tragedy of a miscarriage should be arrested, much less abandoned in jail for 5 months with a $100k bond. But that’s exactly what happened to Mallori Patrice Strait in Texas. Women, particularly women of color, in this country are no longer allowed dignity even in extreme loss
