There has been a rush among centrists like Gavin Newsom and Ezra Klein to brush over the hateful life of Charlie Kirk and valorize the man.

Let me be clear, killing Charlie Kirk was wrong and abhorrent.

We must condemn murder without sanitizing a man who built his empire on hate.

My latest piece.
We Must Not Posthumously Sanitize Charlie Kirk's Hateful Life
Influential anti-LGBTQ+ activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated on Wednesday. While condemning violence is something most can get behind, sanitization of his hate has gone too far.

I have a huge request for my readers: Trump's tax and spending bill will be moving through the Senate. Senators can invoke the Byrd Rule to try to remove the anti-trans Medicaid ban and EHB changes.

You can find and call your senator here and ask them to do that.

Please share as well.

We’re so scared to say we should be for Medicare for All. Donald Trump goes up there and says, “I want to conquer Greenland.” And our consultants say, “You can’t be for Medicare for All—that’s too radical.” Conquering Greenland isn’t radical?

"The Brewing Civil War in the Democratic Party"

I talk to Dem strategist @julieroginsky.bsky.social, who says the party's leadership & messaging is outdated, fake, & inaccessible & must be replaced by authentic fighters willing to take on fascism & Trump.

Wide-ranging convo. Give us a watch.

An estimated 200,000 people took to the streets this weekend to protest with @teslatakedown.com and others.

Just wait until you see the turnout on April 5th. The people are rising.
We just wanted to say amazing work to everyone this weekend—an estimated 200,000 protesters took to the streets. Elon Musk claims that we are “paid” protesters, and many of us are curious about how to sign up to get paid (/s).

Extreme robber baron wealth has ruined this country. When you get rid of progressive taxation and allow money in politics a corrupt oligarchy emerges quickly. THERE SHOULD BE NO BILLIONAIRES. TAX THE SHIT OUT OF THEM.

When this presidency ends—and it will end—we need a Rooseveltian plan to not only undo the damage he did, but build bigger than we’ve ever built before.

Big universal programs and mandates. Pack the SCOTUS. Kill Buckley v. Valeo and Citizens United v. FEC. New anti-trust laws aimed at Amazon. Etc.
Trump's executive order tonight has illegally cancelled union contracts for 67% of the federal workforce & 75% of unionized federal employees — roughly 700,000 union workers

This may be the single biggest attack on the labor movement in American history

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.

We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.

They own what happens next.
