And fixating on this nonsense is a distraction, and a waste of taxpayer money.

It exploits the risk perception gap: people worry unnecessarily about things that pose no risk or don’t impact them, yet don’t focus on things that DO impact health.

Bison should be allowed to roam free and cattle should be restricted to private land.
All abandoned barbed wire should be removed from public land.
The money today being wasted on public lands grazing should go into building wildlife overpasses and installing wildlife safe guide fencing.

I do think that it would be extremely useful right now for somebody to build a directory of Canadian products and services, ideally with filters for local.

I know I'm over-reliant on Amazon as the "everything store" but I would love an "everything Canadian store" that I can search and browse.

If I were Canadian PM I would immediately:

1. Create a new $15B science fund

2. Offer any credentialed US scientist funding for lab startup and replacement of NIH grants if they move to Canada

3. Immediate permanent residency

4. Citizenship after 2 years

Overnight a science superpower

In "The Serviceberry," Robin Wall Kimmerer tells stories about how we can supplement the free market economy with small-scale reciprocal gift economies that lead to "mutual flourishing" and build community. It might be the hope we need now. #earthlygifts #gifteconomy #bookreviews #bipocauthors
