Working in a shipyard that does repair work on Naval vessels. Today we're having a safety stand down so the Navy can reiterate their safety expectations for us. My employer is not going to be happy when I point out the company policies that inhibit out ability to follow said protocols. #Unionstrong

40+K protested peacefully in PDX today. ICE responding with violence tonight feels inevitable. Them kids that do what they've been doing responding to ICE's violence with anti-fascist jams, also inevitable. One side of this confrontation is scared. The other knows which side of history they're on.
The crowd did not disperse, an instead started playing Tubthumping by Chumbawamba — I get knocked down, but I get up again.

Looking through pics from No Kings today and Wife noticed I stopped smiling when we started walking. She appreciated, but was not thrilled, by my response that I was watching for chuds and/or vehicle attacks.
