I feel like the people who haven't immediately realized this have never been threatened online and I gotta say...must be nice!

As someone who has gotten QUITE A FEW death threats over the years, if you start having "it was a joke" as a viable defense of them you IMMEDIATELY lose any ability to actually regulate or cut down on them because no one can prove what is and is not a joke properly

I'll just say I am not a fan of death threats, jokey or not, and don't have a problem with social media sites banning them. In fact, I'm HERE in part because Twitter couldn't be trusted on this issue. Huge questions as always are transparency and consistency in enforcement.

Yes, I think knowing *why* a democrat-run DOJ didn't act on what seems like very obvious evidence for four years absolutely matters.

Quick question, where did I even kind of imply that I "honestly believed" that?

If someone from a certain comics-related hate group quoted customized song lyrics about harming me, I wouldn't just be reporting to moderation, I'd be reporting to the cops. It's not funny or cool when someone you politically agree with does it either.

being mean in a funny way is not the same thing as satire.

I realize this is pedantic, but also, FFS.

But this time, you can't have legs!

Yup, exactly. It's either ignorance, or arrogance to think they can trick people into buying something they already have.

Right? I've even seen indie vtubers with better VR tech.

I honestly believe he didn't realize VRChat existed. The aplomb with which he embraced the Metaverse as some revolutionary thing has me convinced that he had no idea. I'm sure he found out at some point and I wonder what that day was like in the offices.

Oof I totally get that.
