I checked back and somehow the google AI result when you search "Spent: A Comic Novel" has gotten weirder. The source just links to a video of Alison talking about the book which obviously does exist!! Wtf?

It really feels like the baffling AI responses at the top of every google search are designed to raise my blood pressure

Richard from Lost is so funny, a disheveled man just staggered out of the woods to point a gun at him but he's dressed to the nines and absolutely *cannot* be bothered to put down his cup of coffee

Man people get weird and invasive real fast when a post goes even slightly outside your circle. I altered reply settings on a post that was getting a little out of hand and this weirdo screenshotted it and tagged me because they felt *that* entitled to reply to a total stranger

Made some good trouble today with Antonio Delgado, who's challenging Hochul in the NY Governor primary and Joan Mandle, co-founder of Democracy Matters who also participated in Freedom Summer in 1964!

20. Split Fiction

I always liked Hazelight Studios but thought their execution kept falling short of their ambition. But A Way Out and It Takes Two walked so Split Fiction could soar. A genuinely moving and endlessly surprising game about two writers from different genres connecting through story.

500+ people showed up for the local #NoKings protest despite it being in a very small town. I wanted to befriend the cool older ladies next to me but I was too shy 🥲 maybe next time!

Amar Chadha-Patel as the doctor and Amelia Dimoldenberg as the companion, can you see the vision?? can you see the vision?? (please cast Amar Chadha-Patel in more things for me personally)

19: Timeless Toni Storm

Toni's been on a tear for ~3 years now, ever since a post-loss meltdown where she wandered out in a dressing gown and started throwing shoes. Absolutely deranged, god-tier character work that's as flawless as it is timeless. Women's wrestling has never been more fun.

18. Sirens (Netflix)

A wickedly funny limited series with an undercurrent of growing dread as three messy women clash in a gorgeous island mansion. Is wealth a cult? Is marriage a form of employment? Is Julianne Moore a bird witch? How many times can Meghann Fahy say "big cheese"?

17. Dept. Q!

A new Netflix show (based on a series of Danish crime novels) about a trio of maligned cops who start a cold case unit in the basement, and try to find a missing woman who no one really liked. Kind of a House meets Slow Horses vibe that I really enjoyed.

(I'm sorry but he lives rent-free in my storytelling brain, I will just never be over a character who's extremely smart and analytical but also tried to sail an *ice floe* across a *lava lake* just to avoid the discomfort of asking any of his teammates for help. #1 dumbest smart person of all time)

16b. Is there such a thing as "going too far" when the freedom of a galaxy is at risk? When the loss of freedom is so demonstrably cataclysmic on every level? What does liberation cost? Is fascism inevitable, or is freedom?

These are questions I honestly didn't expect a Star Wars show to ask.
