FERC today upheld its transmission planning/cost allocation rule, but gave states a bigger role in the process. “I would say to the states this is giving you a much bigger toolbox with a much better set of tools,” said FERC’s Christie, who voted against the initial Order 1920.

Terrible news today:

This year, one-third of coral cover has been destroyed in two northern sections of the Great Barrier reef due to anthropogenic heating.

Results for the southern sections (which were even hotter) have not been officially released.
