Lawyer. Centre left. Dual citizen. Get Brexit undone. Sick of trash talk. Truth seeker. Bit of a prefectionist. Sporting powerhouse. Be kind. Most importantly love. I’ll leave it there.

If this person sat next to you on a bus or train and started ranting about Bruce Springsteen in this way, you would get up and move to a different seat.

In the United States, we have him the nuclear codes.

Of course the UK could always rejoin the Single Market, which 87% of voters and 62% of people WHO VOTED FOR BREXIT want.

And it wouldn't need any spending cuts and the economy would boom.

Fascinating.
Last month I did a little experiment.

I wanted to see how the exact same post would perform on both X (Twitter) and Bluesky.

The results were...interesting...

Given all public funds wasted on crony contracts and the growing inequality and oligarchy on display, why Labour decide to simultaneously defang the anti-monopoly regulatory and go after disability benefits, baffles and disturbs me

The USA is now very close, if it is not already there, to a constitutional crisis of when court orders are freely ignored without any sanction.

The full picture is not yet clear, but it seems the federal government is now freely ignoring court orders - and facing no consequences.
When asked if the Administration will comply with court orders on fired federal workers, WH Press Secretary Leavitt says the orders are unconstitutional: You cannot have a low level district court judge filing an injunction to usurp the executive authority of the President…

I bought a Tesla because it was fast like a rocket ship. But now every time I drive it, I feel like a rolling billboard for a man dismantling our government and hurting people. So Tesla, you’re fired!

New ride coming soon.

As Honest Bob Jenrick tours the country repeating far-right conspiracy talking points about “two-tier sentencing”, here is the letter his own government sent to the Sentencing Council last year approving the very Guidelines he now claims are evidence of “two-tier Keir”.

The man is a fraud.

It’s a coup. It’s a strategic alliance with Putin. It’s the end of the post-war international order. It’s the triumph of lies over truth and in Putin’s case, evil over good. We are through the looking glass & we all now have to decide who we are & what we stand for

I would like to see a few British broadcasters read out every word of Trump’s latest ‘statement’ live on air & then remind us of their often lavish statements of support for him & then share some of their supportive words for Ukraine.

And then we can all watch their brains explode…

The most frustrating thing about continuing failure to skewer Farage is that his grasp of detail is non-existent. It’s why he gets petulant when exposed to even mildly decent questions. Interviewers just need to zone in on one element of the bullshit & interrogate it until his ignorance is exposed.
Farage on #r4today decrying the increase in costs & red tape since Brexit & calling for Brexit to be “done properly”.
No longer part of the customs union/single market -both of which simplified bureacracy- the costs & red tape on trade have ofc ballooned.
Why was this not put to him directly?

A fascinating piece by @BBCCountryfile, really bringing home the absurdity of post-Brexit red tape.

The truth is that Brexit bureaucracy is suffocating the aspirations of our entrepreneurs; from our SMEs to our farmers.

I wasn't prepared for the disgusting gaslighting from Labour repeatedly saying their priority is to grow the economy, and then do everything except the biggest thing that will grow the economy
