Executive Director of FLIP National. If it has to do with first-generation college students, I’m there. Avatar: The Last Airbender enthusiast. Views are my own. Reposts not having to do with FLIP National ≠ endorsements.

I am the Executive Director of FLIP National, a nonprofit organization that does advocacy work on behalf of first-generation and/or low-income (FGLI) college students at colleges and universities across the country. (FLIP National will be on Bluesky soon.)

FLIP National does have an epic co-sign:
When UCLA was having a brief turnaround, everyone fell all over themselves to credit Jerry Neuheisel, who’s not the interim coach.

But now that they’re struggling again, NOW we can acknowledge the ACTUAL interim coach, Tim Skipper.

Gee, I wonder why.

And this week’s “not ready to play” award goes to Georgia Tech.

Which is wild because they’re the only team that controls their own destiny in the ACC and are playing at home, yet they STILL come out not ready to play.

Oregon didn’t win this game; USC lost it.

The game was there for the taking for USC, but too many mistakes and Jayden Maiava waited too long to start using his legs.

I’m watching these clips of Zohran Mamdani making Trump look like a straight up groupie fangirl and I keep coming back to one thought:

Somewhere in Florida, Andrew Cuomo, who tried to convince us that Trump would eat Zohran’s lunch for MONTHS, is punching air right now.

Someone needs to create a remix of “Arab Money” by Busta Rhymes, but instead of “Arab Money”, the song is “AIPAC Money”.

Your move, internet.

A couple of weeks ago, I said Vanderbilt didn't come out ready to play against Texas.

Today, it's Texas A&M not coming out ready to play against South Carolina.

Given the beat that Ben Collins used to cover for MSNBC, he deserves all of this and I’m glad he has been able to pivot to something that is more personally enjoyable for him.
It’s been a year to the day we bought (and then didn’t, for reasons we still don’t fully know) InfoWars. We’re still trying. In the year since, we built The Onion into one of the biggest newspapers in the United States. I’m so proud of this place. I’m proud we do hard stuff. Thank you for caring.

Why is Jon Ralston still not on Bluesky?

He is THE authority on all things Nevada politics, and I’ve been curious to get his take on both senators from Nevada (Jacky Rosen and Catherine Cortes-Masto) caving on the government shutdown “deal”.

This is a great idea, and something to keep an eye on. Hopefully this works and more states get on board with this plan, especially since if it works, the Supreme Court can't do a damn thing about it.
The state of Montana is on the verge of being the first in the nation to counter the impact of Citizens United via a 2026 ballot measure using an innovative legal maneuver that other states could adopt.
Montana Has an Ambitious Plan to End Dark Money in Elections
Polls suggest 74 percent of voters in the state will back a ballot initiative to counter the effects of Citizens United.

My dad is gonna have a conniption when he finds out that the Mets are enshrining Bobby Valentine into the Mets Hall of Fame next year.

My dad HATES Bobby Valentine with the white hot intensity of 1,000 suns. Bobby Valentine is the reason my dad stopped being a Mets fan.

Yet another opportunity to dunk on Larry Summers. I’ll never pass that opportunity up.

Now we have even more reason to treat Larry Summers like this (which is how he should’ve been treated anyway):

I know we’re all still irate about the 8 Senate Democrats caving on the shutdown “deal”, but today’s news makes me wonder:

Would you be happier with the “deal” if they had secured a promise of a vote on releasing the #EpsteinFiles?

My guess is no because it’s still only a promise, but I’m curious.

I am going to do something that I anticipate will NEVER happen again, and that truly makes me sick to my stomach:

Give credit to Marjorie Taylor Greene, Nancy Mace AND Lauren Boebert for not caving to pressure on the discharge petition.

Now excuse me while I throw up and take a hot shower.

Another W for progressives that fell way further under the radar than it should have. And further proof that Zohran Mamdani’s message can win in other parts of the country.

Congratulations to Mayor-Elect Katie Wilson!

Katie Wilson elected Seattle’s next mayor
Wilson took a 1,976-vote lead over Bruce Harrell. With a maximum of 1,320 ballots remaining, it is mathematically impossible for Harrell to catch up.

That "BREAKING: Mike Johnson sends the House home at 3:59 PM ET" headline is gonna hit like crack in the 80's.

The Dallas Mavericks firing Nico Harrison throws cold water on the theory that Miriam Adelson is purposely sabotaging the Mavericks because they won’t let her build a casino in Dallas.

If that theory were true, Nico Harrison would be getting a raise, not a pink slip.

You ever post something and someone replies to the post responding as if you said the exact opposite of what you actually said?

That’s basically what happened with the Democrats and the message voters clearly sent to them last week.

Their behavior suggests they think we said the exact opposite.

Dear @lawrenceodonnell.msnbc.com:

I’ve watched your show from the very beginning, and I’ve learned a ton from doing so.

Your show is one of only 3 shows I still watch on what is soon to be known as MS NOW.

I also acknowledge that you know WAY more about the US Senate than me (and most people).
November 11, 2025 at 6:07 AM
The only thing that can save us from this terrible shutdown “deal” at this point are the #EpsteinFiles.

In order for the House to pass the Senate bill, Mike Johnson has to call Congress back into session, which means finally swearing in Adelita Grijalva.

Let’s see which one he cares about more.

I have 2 words for all the idiots that tried to tell me that Zohran Mamdani could only win in NYC because it’s deep blue NYC and that his platform and message isn’t transferable anywhere else in this country:

Katie Wilson.

I'm glad this is being pointed out because when it was Bernie Sanders running for president as a Democrat despite the fact that he's an independent that caucuses with Democrats, establishment/corporate Democrats cry about how he's "not a real Democrat" even though this is true in many states.
Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.
