Thanks! I'm sick to death of this noxious charge, yet another lie. This is why I keep using the overused "gaslighting," but here it's apt. Dems keep trying to pass legislation for living wages, higher wages, better protections, more safety nets, etc. We ARE a working-class party. MAGA killed truth.
No, Democrats do not have to work to “reclaim their identity as the party of the working class”. Republicans are going to do that for us with their anti-union and anti-overtime legislation, with their inflation, their loss of jobs, their attacks on Medicaid, SNAP, Obamacare and on and on.

I tortured myself this morning with this thought that came to be unbidden but won't leave. If he'd won in 2020, we'd be past this. The worst would already be over. Now the next four years will feel like forty. Everyone I know is hunkering down and playing "one day at a time" games.
