What a great morning to all!
Zohran Mamdani walked into the Oval Office with strength, without betraying his own values or beliefs, and had trump eating out of his hand, defending and praising him, even saying it's OK to call him a fascist.

Gave up nothing.
Gained respect.

Absolute masterclass.

This is not a peace plan. It is a proposal that weakens Ukraine and divides America from Europe, preparing the way for a larger war in the future. In the meantime, it benefits unnamed Russian and American investors, at the expense of everyone else.

Where are all the MAGA cultists who ranted endlessly when egg prices went up under Biden? They’re quiet as a church mouse now — even though grocery prices are up, housing costs are up, household furnishing costs are up, and electricity prices are through the roof.

Maybe it was never about prices? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Several South Korean firms have pulled or prolonged a pause on investment in U.S. projects after a massive immigration raid on a Hyundai plant in Georgia that resulted in hundreds of Koreans arrested.
Some South Korea firms pulled projects after Hyundai immigration raid
Reluctance to do business in the U.S. after a massive Hyundai immigration raid could make it tougher for South Korea to fulfill its pledge of $350 billion in U.S. investments.

Millions of people will be out in the streets a couple weeks after the funding deadline. We are making clear now that those millions could be cheerleading Dems for fighting the regime in the middle of a shutdown. Or they could be focusing their ire to demand real Dem leadership. NoKings.org

My take is that the "problem" Dem leadership is solving for is not the regime's overreach but rather the blowback they themselves got for the March surrender. Their goal is to spin the next surrender as a "win" in order to reduce blowback. We should deprive them of this path.

You should probably pay for Brian's newsletter because his analysis contends with the reality of the fascist moment, is clear-eyed and honest, and gets into the nitty gritty of congressional politics.

I've thought that a health care demand makes sense, but this is a solid counter argument.
If, per Ezra Klein, funding Trump's government without attempting to rein him in amounts to "complicity" (and it does) then there's only one alternative approach: attempt to rein him in. There is no door number three. www.offmessage.net/p/there-is-n...
There Is No Third Door
The only alternative to "complicity" is withholding votes for lawbreaking.
