It’s never about the little things in isolation, that could have just been done differently to prevent a tantrum. It’s about the abuser’s reaction to the little things, making any casual, mundane, ordinary thing a potential unpredictable risk, and a pattern of that over time.

A lot of them also seem to feel that they are owed forgiveness and acceptance because of that personal belief that they've repented.

That level of entitlement is a red flag that indicates they haven't really changed that much at all, because they can't even acknowlege the harm that they've done.

there's a common dynamic where victims are framed as vicious, vindictive people who only seek to ruin lives while people think abusers are just little guys who don't know they're abusing.

like when they start writing "has #metoo gone too far" two days after it went viral and barely anything happened to 99.9999% of abusers
