Have you ever been called defensive by someone that's actually defensive? Like someone that expects feedback to be a one-way street, and sees feedback from you as threatening?

A LOT of tragic shit happened back to back. My God. This can't be where we are with gun violence.

Really happy for Olivia Dean finally getting so much love. Though a selfish part of me wishes I got to see her back when she did smaller venues... (they would sell out SO fast!)

The oligarchy came out in full force against Zohran Mamdani's fight for a more affordable NYC.

It didn't matter.

Let his victory in the face of Big Money serve as a reminder that people have the power.

I think I've figured it out: so long as I have enough mental space to think and innovate solutions to my challenges, I'll be OK.

I'd rather be unemployed yet have the capacity to think clearly, than to have a job that sucks every ounce of creativity out of me and acts like it's self-imposed.

I wrote an essay confronting this tension head-on. No apologies, no compromise.

I am so tired of people calling things divisive when what they mean is that they were more comfortable when other people were just being silently oppressed and they didn’t have to hear about it or change anything

Anyway watch the whole thing from Broadview. "Proud" isn't even the word, it's nowhere near how I feel about how strong she's been in the last month.

First they shut down the government. Then they tampered with federal workers’ emails to shift the blame. This is corruption in broad daylight.
Education Department employees surprised to find their email automatically changed to blame Democrats for shutdown
Five furloughed employees told NBC News they had put up nonpartisan out-of-office messages, only to see they were changed — without their permission — to partisan ones.
