Interesting take here, but how she can cite Lee Drutman without also talking about voting reform is confusing. If our voting system were modern, we'd have more moderate candidates. Case in point: Jared Golden.

Now I support proportional representation, but I have yet to see any research that shows that PR leads to better government outcomes. Not that I've looked recently.

I have watched BOTH versions of All Creatures Great and Small on PBS (1976 version and current version). Read the books back in the late 60s!

I think we are all grossly underestimating the amount of damage the past 9 years have done to our individual psyches and collective social fabric.
