The share of national income going to the richest 10 percent was lowest (and share to lower 90 percent highest) when union membership was at its highest. As unions have weakened, inequality has widened.

This is why we must build back union power.

Interesting take here, but how she can cite Lee Drutman without also talking about voting reform is confusing. If our voting system were modern, we'd have more moderate candidates. Case in point: Jared Golden.

This is perennial.

Now I support proportional representation, but I have yet to see any research that shows that PR leads to better government outcomes. Not that I've looked recently.

I have watched BOTH versions of All Creatures Great and Small on PBS (1976 version and current version). Read the books back in the late 60s!
