Packing for #shoulderseason is TOUGH! Traveled to Paris in October and it got extremely hot. Ended up wearing the same blouse a lot 😆 had warm clothes I never used! Try to focus on layers. Weather reports change and you never know--the temps can shift wildly. #FoodTravelChat

A2: My favorite way to make rice at home is with lentils/rice/onion/olive oil, like Mujaddara, with a cold salad over it of iceberg, tomato, cucumber and little salad shrimp with lemon & oil dressing. Amazing! See just the rice dish below. #FoodTravelChat

Q1: I LOVED all the variations of iced coffee in Vietnam! There were versions with condensed milk, coconut milk, regular milk and even options with fruit blended in. And salt! And egg custard!

Q2: In the last few days we've eaten a cold Thai salad (Thai beef waterfall salad) and a chilled noodle soup (Korean naengmyeon), both using cold, thinly sliced leftover roast beef. I do love a summer BBQ too but if it's too hot I can't handle being out there!!

A1. My favorite condiment discovery is Aleppo pepper flakes. When I was traveling in Turkiye it was on every restaurant table like salt and pepper is here. It is a mild pepper (no seeds) and compliments just about any food! #FoodTravelChat
