I will add that this political incongruity in when/whether to seek the death penalty is one of the big reasons it should be abolished.
I don’t support the death penalty, but if we must have it, it’s utterly appalling that potus openly supports it for Kirk and not for the assassination of Minnesota Dem State Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband (with their dog). Rather, many on the right celebrated Hortman’s death.
