Blogging is pretty much dead, short-form content is taking over brains like some fungus out of a horror movie, nobody wants to read or finds it difficult to focus (myself included), and AI is being sold to us like it’s The Second Coming of Christ. So I started a blog adiacone.pika.page :).

Headline's a bit misleading. They're not worried that AI will replace them because it's good, but because "generative AI trained on vast amounts of [stolen] fiction will undermine the value of writing" itself

Conflating machine learning tools with GenAI and LLMs are such a favorite of these bad faith arguments, too. Like, machines studying X-rays to better understand cancer is not the same thing as Open AI swallowing all my books via piracy to regurgitate sentences that sound similar. It's just not.
