This shit pisses me off.

“You’re paying extra in taxes for us to develop medicine, and therefore you also have to pay more for the medicine you helped create. This is why you shouldn’t be mad at the corporations, be mad at your leaders for not generating MORE revenue for us from other countries.”

“The company is yet to experiment with creating plus-size women, claiming ‘the technology is not advanced enough for that’”

I’m super on board with the argument that living in a police state with constant surveillance is incredibly scary and dangerous. But it’s hillarious the mainstream media only starts to care when they can say “You can’t even be a CEO abusing your power to cheat on your wife anymore!”
Cheating on your spouse with your employees in a very public manner is actually optional in case you didn't know that
From the Editorial Board:

How did most people react to this horrific, humiliating, unanticipated, life-changing sequence of events for at least three people, not to mention their colleagues and their families?

Simple schadenfreude.

Fun fact, I know of several sitting US house members that planned to make trips to the same detention facility, but were blocked by Hakeem Jeffries.

Not the first time too. The constant refrain is “Wait for Jeffries go ahead” and “don’t get ahead of Jeffries” and then he continues to do nothing

When Trump said he wanted to arrest women who got abortions everyone treated it like it was extreme, an escalation, even though it was the logical conclusion of existing plans to criminalize it

“Gaza resort” is the same. He’s saying the logical conclusion to what was ALREADY happening under Biden

This kind of posts has vibes like those “This is what America would look like under BIDEN” posts, and then you look up the picture and it’s literally Trump’s term.

You’re screenshotting a post saying “Israel continues their genocide” which happened under Biden and he didn’t pressure them to stop.

But Will, if the constitution CAN be breached, the constitution didn’t work. The two elements of the constitution is that it’s the highest law, and that it protects itself so thoroughly through checks and balances it can’t be breached. It IS broken when it no longer functions, by definition.
Again, the problem here is that we are living in a state of constitutional breach. End that, and Trump is no longer able to govern as authoritarian, or arguably even be president. Perpetuating the state of constitutional breach by declaring the Constitution broken is not going to help us.

Will, you’re treating “material conditions” and “social dynamics/communication” like they’re separate forces — and saying the latter matters way more. But communication doesn’t just happen on its own. It’s shaped BY material conditions, there’s a direct causation there.
Anyway this really is the core of my disagreement with, well, apparently everyone, about, well, apparently everything. I think my position here is at least defensible. But evidently many others do not.

@samfromwendover.bsky.social and @adamchase.bsky.social , you’re both wrong. There are 15 scenarios. @thewheatgerm.bsky.social is the only right one for recognizing that this was stupid (but not stupid enough that I WASN’T gonna make a flowchart)

Look, I get the bit, but this kind of stuff can be damaging to people who actually have ADHD. I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 6. All my life, I’ve struggled to maintain focus and manage the constant stream of thoughts that make it very hard to follow through on (🧵1/x)
I was diagnosed with ADHD this year (at age 36!!!) and here’s some of the signs I should have noticed sooner (🧵):
