There’s pretty much always a way to turn features like that off! Also, none of these features are actually new tech, it’s all stuff that’s existed for years (and been good to turn off), just rebranded with “AI” because it’s the buzz word of the moment

What a stupid article. Of course candidates usually have majority support, normally there aren’t sore losers running spoiler campaigns against the nominee. Last time a democratic mayoral candidate didn’t have majority support? When Mario Cuomo ran an unsuccessful spoiler campaign on a third party

Meta had allowed users to create publicly available chatbots of child celebrities, including Walker Scobell, a 16-year-old film star. Asked for a picture of the teen actor at the beach, the bot produced a lifelike shirtless image.
“Pretty cute, huh?” the avatar wrote beneath the picture.

Gross 🤢

Your bio says “Do not obey in advance” & yet you’re folding on trans rights in its entirety the moment it gets challenged, 3 whole years out. Why are YOU obeying in advance?

You’re chastising people not willing to immediately throw away human rights. These are real people, and you just don’t care.

Like, I may not be having much of a visible impact, but if they try to improve things at the store, I and people like me aren’t going to be drawn back. The brand image is tainted. I don’t think that’s necessarily nothing

I think it’s made it easier for customers already disillusioned to say fuck target and not go back. Like I slowed my engagement because target got worse as an experience, but would go for minor things here and there, and then the boycotts pushed me away completely.

Sorry, he’s absolutely guilty and there’s zero doubt about that, but this isn’t real. They found 4725 TOTAL wire transfer transactions back and forth on Epstein’s account, totaling 1.1 Billion of spending both ways. I’m sure plenty of that was Trump, but there’s no public data either way

The future of our nation is on the line but you want to commit to electing a stopgap with no ideas about how to actually improve anyone’s lives - three whole years out. Which is exactly the kind of candidate that loses elections. This IS the fight for our lives, we need someone with BOLD IDEAS

I like this in theory but they seem to be framing it like we already pushed Newsom to a good place, he’s good now - which seems wildly out of step with what needs to happen. We keep holding him accountable and not electing him if he continues Gaza support and throwing trans people under the bus

They think we’re fucking stupid, that they can just throw someone in a hoodie and throw some statistics around and no one would notice that their argument doesn’t make any fucking sense. And they have the audacity to try to transform frustration into people advocating for them to get more money!

Who said anything about normal methods?

They’re hated and ppl are gonna primary them. I agree that the current party is beyond saving, we can’t rely on them next time they’re in power. But when I read “we need to get it done” I think “we need to reshape the party by force so we can get it done” and u think “impossible, never gonna happen”

I adore the second game. The show was somewhat faithful to the EVENTS of the game, but it changed all the relationship dynamics between the characters to the point where it’s barely recognizable. They removed all nuance and subtext from the material, and stripped away everything that made me love it

Booker understands that the next democratic nominee will be someone who is critical of the deeply unpopular party, but he’s too much of a party insider to actually fight against them. He’s running the broken democratic playbook and then looking around and saying “someone should do more!”. Coward

Like please please please don’t think I’m defending him, I think this sucks and absolutely should not happen, and he is regularly doing evil things that he doesn’t legally have the power to do, but this just isn’t one of them. Most presidents build onto or renovate the White House.
August 2, 2025 at 3:24 AM
Ugh, I want to be abundantly clear that I think this is a garbage, gaudy addition done by a corrupt, evil, nazi - but also that’s not how this works. Presidents have been adding shit to the white house since its inception, there’s no laws saying he can’t, or even that he can’t fund it himself.

Wait no! I’ve been doing a watch through and was just about to show my fiancée the Capaldi years for the first time!

It’s awful but it’s not nearly that imposing, this is fake. This is where the ballroom will be

Maybe the added division in what men view as “masculine” makes the friendship pool smaller, or makes it harder to know if another guy holds your values. And maybe if “alpha” bro types can’t make friends with more emotionally open guys, there’s less emotional glue to hold groups of guys together?
July 31, 2025 at 3:41 AM
Pure speculation but I think things are actually much better and more vulnerable in some pockets, but those of us who are don’t have as much tolerance for people who aren’t. Also, the internet.

I try to reject that “alpha” “bro-y” mentality and I’m immediately turned off by that in other men.

You know, this made me realize I’m shocked that Elon has yet to attempt making Optimus “ultra sexy servant robots” for incels. He’s already tried with Grok
