San Diego. Minneapolis. The urgency is showing and I’ve never been this confident that the people will win. I’ve never been this proud to be an American. From the bottom-up is how we fix this. We walk in fear but we walk together. Thank you. We have a role to play where we can. We all get to choose.

EXCLUSIVE: A top Democratic strategist has launched new policy research and messaging hub, called Searchlight, with a goal of pushing the party toward the most effective, broadly popular positions.
Dems are quietly forming a think tank to help them win again
Searchlight, a name inspired by the birthplace of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, comes at a precarious moment for a Democratic Party.

It took decades of research by historians and journalists — and reports by state and federal commissions — to uncover the violence that claimed more than 300 Black lives.

Republicans have been calling for an end to the Department of Education basically since it was established, David A. Graham writes in The Atlantic Daily. “But most presidents, including Trump, can’t and don’t want to get rid of the things it does.”
What Does the Department of Education Actually Do?
With the help of Congress, a president could get rid of the agency. Getting rid of the programs it runs and the money it spends would be a different matter.

Trump's first two weeks back in office has been filled with chaos and dysfunction. But none of it is random.

It's part of a plot to spread cynicism and get you to check out.

Oligarchs don't want you to keep paying attention. That's how they win.

Don't tune out. Don't let them win.

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it.

Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice.

But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word.

They aren’t firing for a reason.
