Gov. Walz to MS NOW:

"Two days ago it was Elissa Slotkin. Last week it was Jerome Powell. Before that, Mark Kelly. Weaponizing the justice system … is a dangerous, authoritarian tactic.

"The only person not being investigated for the shooting of Renee Good is the federal agent who shot her."

This is the story of the day. Share it. We are all being called to be our highest selves. The cavalier treatment of the Nobel Prize is a disgrace. It represents another way to destroy and defile that which should be precious and revered.

We can all make choices to be better.
This is your reminder that Hungarian-Jewish scientist George de Hevesy dissolved two Nobel Prizes in aqua regia to keep them out of the hands of the Nazis.

He then left the dissolved solution on his shelf and fled to Sweden.

(After the war he un-dissolved the gold and the prizes were re-cast.)

Officials in a Mississippi jail violently abused the people incarcerated there and encouraged other detainees known as “trusties” to join in on the beatings.

Incarcerated people must not face abuse at the hands of the state.

Just replied to 112 emails city council received over the last week about whether council should encourage electrification of new homes.

Many argued that gas is more efficient—but it's not! Induction stoves are like 3 times faster at boiling water, and heat pumps are more efficient than furnaces.

People changing parties does not happen very often. What does change is whether people decide to vote or stay home.

If you know someone from the other party and you want to keep your relationship going that’s great. But elections are won on turnout.
Saving America from Trump and preserving our democracy explicitly requires that people who voted for Trump change their mind. Which in turn requires that those who didn’t vote for Trump show grace and empathy to those whose change of heart came from being hurt by the guy they voted for…
