A great read, and sobering because of 2 points (elaborating on OP here):

- Google’s AI overview often sources back to aggregators, not original articles, which you could argue is theft of intellectual property and revenue

- their AI is also exploitable - it can be seeded with false information

I think about this the time.
The left has an ableism problem.

The right obviously does too. They’re loudly bigoted & closed-minded.

My focus is on the people who claim to be inclusive, progressive and willing to learn, grow and adapt to new information.

Where are leftists when disabled people need them?

I just left the Everglades Immigrant Interment Camp. No, I’m not using their ridiculous name. It was a very tough to witness humans in those cages. Every Floridian should be ashamed that our taxpayer money is being used for this.

Just so we’re all clear, and for the dozenth time: there is a direct through line between our society deciding that we’re fine with disabled and immunocompromised ppl dying and being driven out of public life so we can all have fun and the resurgence of this word

Looks like Patriot Front marched in my home town today. I say "looks like" because they were around for less than half an hour doing a march and posing for video and bounced when community started showing up, as cowards do.

PF marching in downtown Louisville on a Saturday is very revealing about the org because everybody here knows downtown is dead on the weekends, especially the night after fireworks. They wanted to make their little video and pretend to be strongmen without actually running into any people lol
About 100 Patriot Front white supremacists marching in Louisville today, according to IG video:

Every week someone tells me they had to put Covid aside to focus on bigger issues like fascism. The thing is, eugenics and fascism go hand in hand.

Historically pandemics have ignited fascism & normalized eugenics & indifference

One thing I have learned from the past five years is that a majority of cishet white Americans who consider themselves empathetic and good people will take no meaningful steps to stop mass death as long as the people who are dying are "part of the plan," as the Joker might say.

A lot of people, including in my hometown, just had their lives destroyed by a horrific storm.

Remember when the media and politicians talk about how “strong” and “resilient” these communities are that they’re saying they don’t need that much help. It’s one of Neoliberalism’s most insidious tricks.

In Memoir Foundations, with Iliana “Lane” Regan, writers will narrow in on what dimension to explore in their personal stories.

Just spoke with my CDC sources. They were in tears.

Budgets cut. RFJK has ordered them not to publicize bird flu symptoms in exposed workers. Not to test them. Not to speak.

They know people are getting sick. And they’re being forced to stay silent.

This is not just a cover-up. It's cruelty.

The tariff saga and its impact on disabled people cannot be separated from the administration’s brutal cuts to Medicaid.
