For all the talk about bugs and missing features in #FM26, I'm more concerned about the incoherent visual hierarchy. It's just difficult to look at. The "Unknown" text in Ability/Potential columns is larger than the player's name, their position, their transfer value, the club they play for...

An incredible chart from the mostly broken #FM26 UI. Instead of showing Transfer Debt, the blue area represents the total.

A lot has been said about the FM26 reboot of the series but it's mostly "this is buggy unfinished shit". The bugs aren't the issue for me, it's the design approach. FM24 was the most played FM ever, the average player played 300 hours. They had set the standard for a sport simulation game...

it's got to be kind of a trip to be one of the 700 or so best people in the world at your profession, probably the best of anyone you knew growing up and into college, the elite among the elite at your calling, and then watch this guy outperform you, like, exponentially better than you ever could
Shohei hits a homer off Chandler at 120 MPH, gets hilarious reactions from everybody involved.

This blurs the illusion of choice that makes search engines great. when you make a search you judge each result's validity and pick the link that you trust. "+2" on the list of sources is yucky, we need to know immediately who Google is trusting to be correct.

Sometimes I open twitter to see if there's anything interesting and I'm reminded they do the opposite of targeted advertising. It must be a conscious effort to have such low quality ads.

The UX of LEGO Interface Panels
LEGO interface panels are beautiful, iconic, and great for learning interface design basics. I bought 52 of them from BrickLink to explore the design, layout and organisation of complex interfaces.

The "put links in replies" concept exemplifies everything wrong with recent Twitter. It's a transparent attempt to increase engagement at the expense of UX. So many of the recent changes serve Elon's ego instead of serving users.
Elon admits that any post on X with a link is throttled

He advises you to upload content directly to X instead, where he can monetize it

Seen a lot of posts about the Tottenham rebrand along the lines of "someone got paid millions just to remove some text" which really grinds my gears. A lot of talented people put in a lot of hard work, you can see some of that here: www.nomadstudio.com/work/tottenh...
