For all the talk about bugs and missing features in #FM26, I'm more concerned about the incoherent visual hierarchy. It's just difficult to look at. The "Unknown" text in Ability/Potential columns is larger than the player's name, their position, their transfer value, the club they play for...

I have seen more about the refereeing decisions than the matches themselves. The difference you're noticing might be that the commentators/pundits don't get hung up on it, not that refs are objectively better.

Sometimes I open twitter to see if there's anything interesting and I'm reminded they do the opposite of targeted advertising. It must be a conscious effort to have such low quality ads.

Not just the logo and the typeface, specific ways of using them, new colours, details like the textured gradient you can see in these images. They will also have provided guidelines for layouts, photography, interaction, animation and the language (literal words) used in all branded output.
