🚨 Youth services have been cut by over £1 billion since 2010.

New figures from YMCA reveal that local authority spending on youth services in England has dropped by 73% since 2010-11—a real-term cut of £1.2 billion. In Wales, funding has fallen by 27% (£16.6m). 🧵👇

Danny attended the Sheffield Autism Partnership Board meeting yesterday - quick updates: the team organising an Autism Festival are planning events over three days Tues 15th – Thurs 17th April 2025 in central Sheffield. There will be a snapshot survey about the branding to be circulated soon.

At the end of the voting period, they count up all the blue tokens, and the charity with most gets £1,500 with £1,000 for second and £500 for third.

For those unaware: Autism Speaks is a hate group that treats autism as a disease to be "cured" and autistic people as inferior. No autistic people are at the top of this org, and they support dehumanizing "therapies" to "get rid of" autism. The puzzle piece wrt autism is also a hate symbol.

Attended the Sheffield Autism Partnership Network meeting this morning, which included a discussion about Sheffield City Council's proposed Autism Festival for April 2025. The group asked that autistic people should be involved in co-producing this, and there should be info on this to share soon.
