Anyone who gets angry at an actor for the words and actions of a character they play has serious developmental/mental problems and needs to get that shit addressed immediately.

Unless the actor says, "I endorse these words/actions."

I've seen "gambling addict" used as an insult WAY too much.

Gambling addiction is not a moral failing and does not deserve to be used as a way to denigrate people.

In fact? I'm glad. SAG-AFTRA should publicly pressure them more.

Their games are multimillion dollar revenue generators. The actors should be getting union rates and protections.

The AFTRA in SAG-AFTRA is a VA union that was absorbed in 2012. Voice actors have been advocating for changes to represent VO properly since then. We have a voiceover department now. Personally, I started advocating for union work in 2018 and founded the dubbing steering committee in 2021ish.

It's because of this whole bullshit with the company MiHoYo (Genshin Impact) and some union members trying to push an interim agreement that would force the company to provide A.I. protections.

Some people also assume it'll flip it to a union project, but that's a little more vague.

I do think a voice acting union would be highly beneficial, if SAG-AFTRA cannot properly manage that sector of its workforce. I'd happily support it, if it had the right people and positions.

Until then, I want to see SAG-AFTRA improve, and it does need support to do so.

Anti-Union sentiment is already rampant and destructive in this country. Unions, who brought us the 40 hour work week, safety laws, etc. Who have been undermined and demonized by politicians, bought by corporations, to undermined collective bargaining.

That's why this deeply effects me.

If Trump is able to dissuade a bunch of other countries from letting conservatives run their countries, that's a nice silver lining around a very dark cloud

Sonic 3 got so much love because it's the first of the three that truly puts a story from the games front and center, treating Shadow with more respect than any other character in the series, fully committed to its premise.

And, big surprise, it's the best plot of all three films.
