Screw it, one more thought I've mulled over lately - people have absolutely no sense of what is and isn't mainstream knowledge anymore.
Any time someone says 'everyone knew this, you have no excuse' all I can think is how many massively successful YouTubers I never heard of until the scandal.

Okay just removing the app from the Home screen did not stop me doomscrolling and falling into despair as I see yet more things I find joy in being ruined in some way by capitalism so... deleting the BlueSky app from my phone.

The "There's too many charcaters" superhero fil criticism to me feels often like regurgitating the criticism of Spider-man 3 without fully getting why it was a problem in that film.
The issue wasn't that it had 3 villains.
It was each villain had full arcs that barely touched each other.

After realising my S1 DVDs are Region 1, I go to S2 with intention to pick an episode I really liked.

Maybe I'm noticing it more with K-Pop Demon Hunters cause it's satire is related to something I know nothing about, but I have noticed a trend on social media (particularly tiktoks/reels) where people just allude to those themes or ideas with a framing of "can't believe people missed the point.

During the birthday party scene in SIGNS I saw a whole row of young women literally throw their popcorn in the air like a cartoon.
