Just saw a mutual make a valid, respectful counter point on a quote post, the OP blocked them & now *EYE* can’t even see the OP-that is certainly a design choice to stifle any discussion or disagreement

I think it’s actually good to shame people for bad ideas. Blocking them does not keep those bad ideas from proliferating, and the lack of pushback lends them validity. This is not Twitter. People aren’t making money off bad takes here. They should absolutely be shouted down and bullied.

I really hate the TikTok teacher trend blaming “bad” behavior of kids on the pandemic as if kids aren’t smart enough to internalize how adults have ACTED during Covid, as if adults normalizing mass death & disability isn’t destructive to kids’ mental health. If adults don’t care why should children
