The thing that basically everyone left of center gets wrong, from the Abundance Bros to the DSA left, but the far right understands deeply and intuitively, is that politics is about social dynamics and peoples’ emotional states far more than it is about anything material and measurable

Question for “abundance” lovers: why do we need to build a bunch more housing when there are vastly more vacant homes than homeless people? Seems like a distribution problem not a production problem.
