I was, but after sitting for a year, mold, mice, and rot took their toll on top of the electrical and mechanical issues

There was no saving him

There’s also the weird category of “screen used survivors” that have been so restored they’re hardly the same

Martin Sanchez took the cool route though, restoring his screen used Christine using parts from the other wrecked Plymouths that were set to be crushed

She’ll be happy to know that some more surviving parts of one of the sharks (aside from teeth) turned up at auction recently!

Bob Mattey saved the eyes and gifted them to his neighbor and somehow they found their way onto the auction block

There’s photos of Orca I (the fully operational boat) pre-scrap in her brief private ownership as well as in disrepair on the backlot after universal bought her back. They’re really upsetting as the guy that bought her initially clearly put work into restoring her

‪Bluesmobile: all destroyed during/after filming‬

‪Orca: both the main and stunt boats were kept around but rotted away and were broken apart ‬

‪W900: fate of all 3 trucks unknown‬

‪The Car: 3/4 destroyed during filming the 4th apparently in a collection but has not been seen since‬
