I need some levity so please indulge me. Bonus points if you tell me why you made that association.

Let's look at that shift again. Those are huge swings. That doesn't happen without efforts to make Black voters feel seen on issues that matter. And racism is still top of mind issue.
November 9, 2025 at 5:11 PM
In the primary Cuomo apparently won Black voters by a pretty substantial margin. This isn't super surprising to me but probably not for the reasons you think.

I don't think Black voters were especially high on Cuomo as much as they didn't know or know if they could trust Mamdani.
November 9, 2025 at 5:04 PM
Here's the breakdown. Mamdani won fairly comfortably and might have by more if Cuomo hadn't run. And at just over 50% there's no way to claim this wasn't a legitimate win. That's good. Because a lot of rich folks put a lot of effort in against him. It'd have been real bad if it worked.

But stronger remnants... those require whole hunting parties to take down.

The worst are the named remnants known as the wicked three. The Bulgu, Uwaban and Mwindaji.

The terror of Mwindaji is she breaks the one advantage humans have over remnants. She always brings company.
November 9, 2025 at 1:24 AM
Typically, remnants are solitary dangers and rare. Even still it's recommended to attack them as a group. Typically 4 warriors at minimum.

And a skilled warrior though in exceptionally rare cases, has been known to be able to defeat weaker remnants one on one.

In #Ha-Nahn remnants are the ghosts of its war torn past. Living weapons animated by malice or wicked sorcery they crave the violence they committed when wielded by the living and have constituted a horrid facsimile of a human body to wield themselves!

Mile by mile they come.
Past the ruins and up to the walls, like a ruinous tide they come. To cut the villages down.

Led by Mwindaji they come.
Screaming bronze swords in living form. No lights and no sound, don’t want to be found

To keep from being cut down”

That means a lot Shivam. I've had so many amazing people in my corner this year. When you get a chance for a line up like this to tell you you're on the right track it's hard for the impostor syndrome to stand up to it. :)

And as a test I threw this one in a card frame as well. I think I cooked on this one guys. I really do! (obviously I didn't finish the card because that's not the point but I wanted to set some things anyway).

Thank you to the folks who've helped make all of this possible so far. The last piece for my #Ha-Nahn portfolio to start submitting to WoTC is done! I present Mwindaji, Remnant Leader. All the patrons who are paid as of time of this piece's completion are in the credits.

Happy Birthday and thanks for the art share! I'm Aaron and I mostly focus on fantasy art that feels big, thoughtful, and full of stories.

Similar with Sun Titan. This portfolio took a long time to get together but the challenge was, can I hit the target of "looks like it belongs on a Magic card" and can I do it consistently. We were starting to get there here I think.
November 6, 2025 at 2:04 AM
This one was the big step in the right direction for me though. Everything seemed to be hitting right here. This was the first of these I truly thought nailed it.

Elemental Mastery was the hardest of these but it was a fight worth having
November 6, 2025 at 1:59 AM
I've also been throwing these into card frames as a way to test how I'm doing. It's gotten a little closer to feeling "right" each time.

4 of 5 pieces for the new #Ha-Nahn portfolio. I'm proud of each of these in their own way. I cannot wait to show you the last one!
November 6, 2025 at 1:25 AM
Wanted to share the reworked Aranessa again because I had a lot of fun with it and it feels kind of good to do some #CriticalRole fanart again. Honestly it's kind of how my ttrpg art stuff kicked off.
November 6, 2025 at 12:40 AM
Made a slight adjustment because I felt the eyes were too big.

It's been ages since I did fan art so here's my take on Lady Aranessa Royce. Shout out to @cryntart.bsky.social who's version made me want to try this and to @brennanleemulligan.bsky.social for creating the character.

For example, this is a screenshot of a page from Josh Hawley. The loathsome little toad. If you click on the bill you can see more text on it and how it was voted on broadly.

The advantage on these folks is they try to get info on candidates as well as already elected people. They can't always succeed but I always like to check and see what they've got on someone I'm researching. They don't have Kat Abughazaleh for example.
