Over the moon for #Readingfc fans now I see their rescue by Rob Couhig and Redwood is complete.

Remember our own dark days of the abyss at #saintsfc well (begun by a Mr R Lowe no less) and they deserve the happiness they feel today. Fingers crossed for a success story. 💙🤍

Unbelievable scenes at the Stadium of Light. Terrific goal from Ballard (who I wouldn't mind at #saintsfc) but cruel on Coventry who have been the better team tonight and have thrived under Frank Lampard. The championship. Bloody hell. #ccfc #mackems

If ever you find yourself wondering if endless cuts and stuff is a political choice consider this - after telling disabled people their PIP could be snatched to save £3.9bn, the government have said they'll spend £2.3bn on tax breaks for people buying an electric car.

Choices.

That #JapaneseGP was up there in terms of dullness with Monaco at its worst.

Dreadful race.

@alistaircoleman.bsky.social Even friends of mine who are standing for election have taken up pointing now. How do you rate this? (I'll give them feedback)

BRILLIANT from Plymouth Argyle. Fantastic and essential win.

And the fact it's an away win against the Skates makes it double satisfying for me as a Saints fan. Utterly terrific defending when down to 10 men.

Basically screaming the sort of thing @garethdennis.bsky.social has been saying for ages

Railways > Roads

Replace the axed A303 plans by redoubling and doing all the other stuff on this line. Superb idea.

West of England railway sorely in need of investment, study finds
The new study recommends improving the West of England line, which runs parallel to the A303.

Imagine showing this to someone a decade ago and asking them “which party do you think this guy is the leader of?”

#nowplaying is Dear Life, the new album by David Gray.

Two thirds of the way through, and unless the remaining tracks are all drill music with chants about Hitler or something, I can say with confidence it's a fabulous album. An hour long so the money's worth is there.

Tony Slattery will always be remembered by me for his role as the voice of the vending machine who faces Rimmer in one of my favourite Red Dwarf episodes.

"Every dog has it's day, today's the day, and I'm the dog. Howwwwwlll"

Every time I see Tonks (Tamworth) I can't not see Will Smallbone. Appearances are similar. Reckon we can sneakily swap them to get the long throws? #saintsfc

Thinking again about when we used the Football Manager editor to allow players to get 17th Century illnesses and injuries. Glen Johnson caught the plague.

New #Manics music. I like this, People Ruin Paintings a lot. It's a lovely little track. Very elegiac.

That said, it's a most curious lyric. It's basically Nicky Wire (presumably) ranting about people being in paintings. But honestly, I like this.

Some are speculating that the title of "People ruin Paintings" - the upcoming Manic Street Preachers single is about Just Stop Oil.

I disagree. I strongly suspect it's about having paintings without people in them. I think "People ruin paintings" is in the literal sense of the art itself.

For a start you can't "donate" money to the BBC, it's funded by the TV licence levied on having a TV.

Youd think that someone of his wealth would know to do basic fact checking - but then again I don't think these shower of shits care as long as they radicalise their followers.

A bit sinister.

I'm surprised people haven't twigged onto the fact that aside from Trump, the other major economy political leader Musk hasn't had a go at yet is Vladimir Putin.

Funny that.

The lovely @graceblakeley.bsky.social is, unsurprisingly, spot on with this.

If anyone can get a copy of the biography of Ford by Robert Lacey, do so - old Henry Ford was ever so slightly fanatical....

I'm ancient enough to remember when we went down in the days of Rupert Lowe, Redkrapp and all of that

And we were bad that season, but we were nowhere near this bad

This is Poortvliet level bad and he had a team of 16 yr olds to try and play total Dutch football with #saintsfc
