Yes, I did make a genuine and mostly on-topic reference to Ratatouille (2007) in my communion liturgy this morning. Thanks for noticing.
I wrote another little reflection on the importance of good cinema for my region's weekly mini-blog. And thought I was a struggle to keep it as small as it needed to be, I'm still very pleased with it, and stand by it as an important dream for the Church!

Do You Watch Good Cinema?

I will truly, and I mean this with all of my being. I will never forgive Netflix for not giving Train Dreams (2025) the theatrical release it absolutely deserves.

Researching for this skeet brought me to learn that Ghouls were characters in Arabic folklore most often depicted as female. And that they would deceive men and eat them if they did not listen to/believe the actual women (that could see it was a glamor) who warned them of the ruse. Feminist Icons.
They say Halloween is a time of "Ghost, Goblins, and Ghouls." And I'm gonna say it, I think Goblins are criminally underrepresented in Halloween theming. (Ghouls as well, but I'm trying to solve one problem at a time...)

Remember, the solution to ridiculous misreadings of great pieces of literature is to read those same pieces of literature with care, attention, and love.

A bakery that sells their goods out of a converted coal locomotive + passenger car, who's slogan is "All aboard the Grain-Train!"

Is this something?

Who do I have to talk to about getting capes re-entered into mainstream fashion? Like is that a government prerogative or more in the Pope's area of influence??

working on a new unified theory of american reality i'm calling "everyone is twelve now"

I was on a walk the other day and an older man with a dog was infront of me. He entered a small tunnel, promptly stopped, and began honest-to-God yodeling... and his dog started howiling with him in response... It was quite possibly the purest moment I have ever witnessed

Me watching the Chernobyl Miniseries: *nervously sweating as I search up if you can get Radiation Sickness from just watching other people pretend to get it.*

My greatest skill is being so bad at spelling, especially when I'm just churning out a big email, that I am able to make Outlook's spellchecker just straight up quit halfway through and stop working completely.

It just peaces out, leaving nothing underlined at all...

Somebody emailed me today and addressed me as "Reverend Scherzinger" (they dont know that I'm not presently ordained). So if you need me, I'm gonna be chilling on this high horse for a bit.

I am a little embarrassed to admit that I was yesterday-years-old when I learned that the "type: P" at the top of ID page of passports just indicates the document is a passport, and not as I had previously thought, to be indicating the blood type of the holder...

If yall thought the current Tarrifs on Canada were bad, just wait until the NHL season starts back up... Old-leather-hands is gonna be issuing 10% stacking across-the-board Tarrifs every time the refs call the Decision Center in Toronto during a US game.
