I’m a veteran.
Even in the military, we had very strict controls in place to keep everyone safe. Not everyone could pick up a weapon or draw ammo. There were boundaries, checks, and accountability, because even in uniform we understood the weight and consequences of tools like that.

The best thing I ever did for myself as a disabled person was work on my internal ableism before I head any inkling I would become disabled. You too could end up disabled someday. Do yourself a favor and make the world more disability friendly today. #disabilitypridemonth

Laborers can't be fearmongered by the threat of houselessness if UBI exists. Same with free healthcare or any other social program that supports human rights -as- a right instead of a fortunate laborer's benefit.
UBI saves a ton of public money, but its lack of cruelty sends certain people into a rage, so it’s hard to put into practice.
Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1k/month. A year later, nearly half had housing.
They also had fewer ER visits, nights spent in a hospital, and jail stays.
