Investigator/writer researching rescues and altruism. Former newspaper reporter in PA & OH. Poll worker. Open-records and voting-rights advocate.
I'm one of those weirdos who, in my early 20s, watched them 25 years ago.

Whatever value was left disintegrated in the last decade.
Somehow, every week, I forget that Sunday morning is when lying, disingenuous politicians go on TV news shows to be interviewed by ill-prepared, journalists who don't ever hold anyone's feet to the fire.

And then I wake up and it's clips galore.

Why is this a thing?

Well, the 8-year-old's current go-to song during showers is "Thunderstruck."

He's also been infatuated with "Peaches" and Green Jellÿ's "Three Little Pigs" in recent weeks.

Meh.

As someone again commuting to work Downtown by bus, it's already a pain in the ass to for drivers cross the rivers many days.

It *is* a great vibe when a bridge is closed for games or events, but I'm fine with the way it is now.

The Roberto Clemente Bridge should become a linear park
The Pittsburgh bridge’s real power comes out when it’s closed to automotive traffic. So why not make that permanent and create a new attraction, like Dallas and New York have done?

“Despite the honour of this medal, our experience also revealed serious gaps in our municipal and provincial systems that left our family unprotected before, during and after a violent dog attack,” Trisha Munroe said.

Starting in the pandemic, we shifted almost all of our grocery shopping to Target. On average, we spent $800/mo. for five years. Probably had a "RedCard" for a decade.

Stopped shopping there in February.

Last week, Target deemed my RedCard inactive.

They're absolutely flailing.

It's pretty wild seeing real-world consequences for when a company, through its actions, pisses off a sizeable customer base.

When I was growing up, I was well aware that actress Theresa Saldana advocated for anti-stalking laws.

What I didn't know was that she publicly embraced the hero who saved her from her stalker.

For our newsletter, I wrote about the day their lives intersected.

This has been frustrating for the community, but at least it's a fresh start.

I love it. Jags has endured so long that I gave up my grudges against him for the way his Pens career ended *and* the fake out when we thought he was coming back.

Just a totally unique dude and physical freak.

Now, just waive the HOF waiting period and induct him.

I binged this podcast. It's really well-done and is a bit different from the standard sports-story series, especially from ESPN.

The series did an excellent job of telling the full life of a man, Martin Manley, you've almost certainly never known about.
